Where is the fun in chess?

Sorry for my english. What do you think is fun in chess? I see lot of players going for cheap tricks or memorized opening but really missing all the fun of a romantic checkmate. What's better losing in unortodox and complex positon or trying to play like a computer?
Not impressed Sarg0n a quote is not an personal opinion
? you can play both there is plenty of way to enjoy chess.
The fun in Chess in winning, overcoming a lost position, finding killer tactics, finding killer combinations, and much, much more.
In my opinion (even though I'm not the most qualified person to say) the best chess comes from longer games (at least like rapid time control).
When playing blitz and faster my moves come out automatic and I dont think too much about the first 10-15 moves.

Then it's also good to know how to variate your opening choice, and not immideatly go for the main lines.

when i played otb tournaments, coming back from a losing position was great... now, in non tournament mode, and playing blitz, nope. losing position, i can just resign. the win don't matter to me much. i like studying interesting positions, playing some low grade blitz.... sometimes i solve difficult puzzles. so i'm pretty analytical, not that competitive.
i personally love analysing different positions. even analysing and memorizing different opening positions. it's impossible to play like a computer to be honest. the only move u can copy from a computer 100% is the first move after the first move, for each move there are around 10-20 possibilities, and it's way beyond human comprehension. analysing this little moves with use of computers and different checkmate positions is the main reason i play the game. and also the more and more u grow, you face stronger and stronger opponents, and have to pay attention to smaller and smaller details and analyse deeper (most of the time i go into daily tournaments only to play vs stronger opponents). in summary the real joy is in the journey and improvement i have over a long period of time not in a "romantic checkmate" or "unortodox and complex positon" i encounter in a single game.
