I don't know what to say, I beat a WIM in 4 moves the other day - that ought to count for something?
Also I am pretty good at solving the mate-in-1 captcha so you could say I am a pretty serious player

Must confess when I posted in this topic earlier I did actually get the mate in 1 captcha wrong - ‘patzer sees a check’ as they say...

The blog is a good read, interesting perspective.
Of course reaching 2000 was a matter of luck: you were lucky to get paired with a hasty opponent in the last round, who thought more about riding back than about the game. Kudos for rejecting his draw offer.
Generally a Swiss tournament is a success if you win the last round.
