I'm reading this on my Linux laptop. Over the last few weeks I've been encouraging my wife to switch to Linux for exactly the reasons in article - what a coincidence!
Wow! :) I wish you good luck! <3

you are creating a file and trying to cat a totally different one, your argument does not work.

Well thats a really a classic topic, win or linux.
I have 4 pc for now, one W11, one mint but debian "faye"(for more stable), one W10 and one W7. The W11 is for modern gaming and console emulating, works great, but I think it is becoming not only a "PURE" OS(copliot, advertisements, etc.), more like a phone OS which full of widgets that occupying system resources. So I started a project in recent days, making backup to ensure I could keep up the experience. And I fonud that Linux mint could meet the basic needs.
FOSS are good for basic needs in turth. So leave the latest exploring to Win, becasuse commercial software are making their way actually. Linux is an option, a future of technology popularization. They are the two ends of the balance. I love them all, but I would keep my attention to the development of linux.

Linux is faster, stable, free and does not spy on users. All web servers are running some Linux distribution.

This blog makes a fair argument and I agree but there are a couple things you say about windows that isn't true.
