What is going on with game creation

Can someone explain the new game-creation rules to me?

My rating on Rapid is 1660. I set to create a game with a rating range of +/-250 points. Why am I then paired with someone whose rating is 1809?!

(and this has happened to me 4 times in a row today, having never happened previosuly under the previous format. Last time I did I took a screenshot to double-check my settings and I definitely set it as +/- 250)

1660 + 250 = 1910 > 1809

Sorry, what?

Oh wait I'm being a complete idiot and getting my magnitudes of 10 confused! Of course I want to be setting +/- 25 to acheive what I wanted. Ha OK yes I'm a fool
