Why do something that produces such anxiety? Go and enjoy life my friend! Chess is a game, only a game.

Hi there.
I've been playing chess for more than a year, and anytime I play, my life gets significantly worse. It brings me indescribable pain and frustration. I got absurdly intense imposter syndrome after loosing games (and accidentaly fracturing my hand when smashing my table). Win doesn't bring me any happiness - so that's a combo I guess :D. But, for whatever reason I just won't stop playing. I may give myself a break for a few days but then comeback - having great games, going as high as 1700 hundred blitz on lichess (another account, obviously). Then losing one game and spiral into frustration. I have no idea what's wrong with me. Have you ever witnessed (or god forbid experience) something similar? This poor attitude I have when I deal with chess is drastically different to other areas of live, so no, I don't have a "generally" bad personality (or, at least, I hope so :/).
I think you should play less games per day. I also play only 1 game per day to avoid losing too much. And I think slower time control is helpful, it helps to deal win or lose in short time.
Welcome to the club.

Hey, I think you're addicted to chess like me. Play less games a day so you can avoid loosing so many points.
The best thing for you to do is take a break from chess and come back after few months. Because you're clearly addicted to chess, that's why you can't stop even if you want to stop.
take a long break, then come back

What a trash! Really if I knew you in real life, I would have picked you up and put you in trash instead and a person who belongs to the trash is never better than good people.
