Recently I have a group of players wish them to learn by tournament beginning with a particular position done by editing a board.
Though I suggest the following

should be a must unrated tournament.
a player should play one game with white and then with the same player with black.
copy paste facilitation.

@MohammedElasha #1 Yes, I have also been thinking about this on several occasions. I don't think the coding is a problem, the main problem is that people could set it for a completely winning position for either side, and people would join without acknowledging what position it is set to. Aside from that, I think it would be a very helpful feature to add!

@mysterious_expert You could set it so you're either forced to give both the same position or it has to be from -0.2 to +0.2

Ok I see what you mean.
But that restrict alot of rich positions.
I want to train sme people technical play so their moves become more precise.
eg. Bishop and Knight versus alone king
U know the 50 move rule can cause sm problems with players under time pressure.
So precision in needed so far.
Thank you and I appreciate your idea it can be helpful during setting up a board.

@MohammedElasha "bishop and knight versus alone king" will be impossible for one person to win, unless they stalemate which they cant force.

@RubyChessPiec I agree with Mohammed. That requirement for -0.2 to +0.2 would restrict lots of positions. Imagine if you are a coach and want your students to play from a certain position which is winning for one of the sides.

@mysterious_expert actually now that i think aobut it, i agree... you could up it to somewhere like -2 to +2 or something else
