My chess peices disappear after half a second

Hi all,

I don't suppose anyone might know why? When I start a new game I see the board with the pieces and then very quickly they disappear. No idea why. I can still make moves though.

But would prefer not to play 'blindfold' !

no. if your problem is blindfold mode, then you fix it by turning off blindfold mode – not by turning off your device. op probably figured that out already.

I cannot find the blundfold mode it simply not there. What ever i do i cannot turn it off because it does not show in prefferences
