Why is this a draw??

I got a screenshot - I was playing with white, black ran out of time and it was a draw?!? It was no repetition of moves, he simply ran out of time and it was a draw. Why??
if You had only king left, and he had some figures, and he ran out of time, then it's a draw due the fact you can't physicly mate him with anything( only king left)
On lichess if it is impossible for you to mate and your opponent runs out of time it is a draw. On chess.com if your opponent runs out of time you win no matter what. In this scenario it is a draw on lichess.

Really? That's ridiculous! But par for the course for that site I guess.

Are you sure that on Lichess it concerns all possible positions? There were many discussions on forum about
games where a player had ran out of time and had lost, although it had been impossible for his opponent
to checkmate.
@Marcin2 can you please send a game that you are referring to? Lichess counts it as possible to checkmate if you have just a knight and your opponent has a pawn, because even though you cannot force checkmate it is still technically possible.
yes Ladies and Gentelman , I found His Game xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
oh GM Sargon found the same game, I just didn't do that because didn't thought everyone would pay much attention to this topic
