Rating refund

I got a notification in my inbox that I got 3 rating point (bullet) refunded because I lost to someone who violated the lichess TOS. Since I play very little bullet, I managed to track down the recent bullet games I lost and found only one opponent who has been marked by lichess as having violated the TOS. However, I had lost 3 games to that player today and lost 16 points in total (6+5+5), so by what calculation I got 3 points refunded ? Can anyone help me to understand how the rating refund works.
Since cheating is not allowed on Lichess, the player who cheated against you his account got banned and then because he cheated and won, you got 3 rating points.
@Anshkr The thing that stumped me is why 3 when I lost 16 points to them ? And the matches were all very recent, they were all played today
Same thing happened to me also. But Lichess calculates the refund points based on several factors, you can see in lichess.org/faq#rating-refund. It says if your rating progression is large, you may be refunded partially or no refund at all.
One minute after a player is marked, their 40 latest rated games in the last 3 days are taken. If you are their opponent in those games, you lost rating (because of a loss or a draw), and your rating was not provisional, you get a rating refund. The refund is capped based on your peak rating and your rating progress after the game.
(For example, if your rating greatly increased after those games, you might get no refund or only a partial refund.) A refund will never exceed 150 points.
