Temporary ban.

Hi all. I was playing a game 15+10 and was in a loosing position. I tried using the resign button several times, but it was not working or accepted. I let the game time out and I was giving a warning of a temporary ban. I did not wish to leave the game as I thought that would be considered rude. The player was Russian and I am English. I typed I resign in the chat, but we could not understand each other.
1) How long is the temporary ban?
2) Has this happened to anyone previously?

Hello, you have to click the resign button twice in order for it to work.

Also, the resign button is the button which shows a flag

If you wish to disable resign confirmation (2nd click), you can change it in your settings here lichess.org/account/preferences/game-behavior

Also you received an automatic warning, meaning that everyone that lets their time run out instead of resigning will receive the same message you saw. It was a warning and not a temporary ban.
