lidraughts.org is not really affiliated with lichess. While thibault has promoted it and other open source projects, it is developed independently by @roepstoep.

lichess is open sourced just for this kind of thing
other developers can take inspiration from the site or just take sections of the code that suits their needs
lidraughts is not affiliated with lichess, only that lidraughts used lichess source code because it works
