How does the appeal really work?

You see, the appeal gives a messege to @lichess to make u unban if there was any mistakes the @lichess did that accidently made u ban for no reoson. but how does it work?
@wannabegmonce was once ban like 2 months ago. but after 1 month and a half he got unban. but maybe he used a appeal or just too many people made team that says "unban @wannabegmonce". so it worked.
But the same thing happened to @denorus and people did the team, appeal and everything bla bla bla.
but until now he still haven't got unban. so how does the appeal really work?

So you don’t know what they’re innocent of, but you do know that they are equally innocent and the details of their interactions with site management?

Teams don't bring people back.

People come back when Lichess decides they aren't guilty. The system isn't perfect, but it is pretty through.

i don't know what @wannabegmonce and @denorus did and what how @wannabegmonce got un-ban when @denorus still (by now) didn't get unban

I know they both are innoccent becasue everyday i watch both games they do (very tiring), and they both are not cheating!
but how come both get banned and then few weeks later only @wannabegmonce is unban?
