It's unfortunate that many find lichess is not a "safe space" to play chess.
Maybe ask Rebekah Mercer to bankroll a fork?

I think the 3 heads blog space could be 6. Or bring back the forum to the lobby as well. I get the force-feeding from other strains of chess culture. It might be one of my mood cycles of exasperation, after five years of hearing those leitmotivs, implicit ones about one theory of learning for all, look up high. I can't, head extensions give me pain in the neck. (five years include more than blogs).
So, op, it is not really force-fed, but if it hits a nerve, it does feel like it. These are the times. (I am not sharing your nerve being hit by this topic in particular, just sharing, that one can get annoyed, even exasperated, and come back from it, ..., I hope, but in my case, it won't be just a month, I am in for the long run, of nerve testing).

We've looked at strategies to show more blogs. My favorite is a simple carousel that still shows 3 at a time but auto-rotates through the day's top 10 every 20 seconds or so.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I think their problem is unrelated to UI design.

I personally want to thank OP and other commentators in this thread for starkly reminding us all why Pride Month and Lichess's promotion of it is so important: so many of you are far too comfortable publicly expressing hatred for this so very incredibly vulnerable group of perfectly normal, natural people. Until the day comes that you are more mortally petrified by the idea of expressing your hatred than you are by simply existing alongside your fellows, no offense will be rested against you filth. May the prophylactic power of the sun remove your diseased minds from this community.

This thread reminded me that there are blogs(I tend to click past without looking at the part of the site), so I went to look at the hordes of offensive blogs that must be there to cause such distress for the sensitive op. I found one that wasn't obviously chess related in the first 40. huh.

If you have something on your screen that you cannot remove, then its "forced". It's very simple to understand. My post under Lichess feedback is not forced because you need to dive into forums in order to find it.
My complaint is regarding forced blog posts on my screen which are not related to chess at all. However, some people seem very "upset" because I want only Chess and not the bloatware. Since I'm the one on the backfoot, I suggest you ignore this thread and just enjoy your agenda flashing on the main screen. You all suggest "ignore, chill, nerves, etc." so why don't you take your own advice and move away from a thread that doesn't concern you?
It feels like an illusion of widespread condemnation is slowly being created. Old tactic, though.

Quick pairing, timelines and TV/daily puzzle make over 90% of the screen. I can't imagine a neutral mindset being that annoyed of just seeing one blog for pride month between two chess-related blogs (or even spending that much attention to the blogs). For me it's all hypocrites.

we don't do you the favor. Downvoting #35 (a golden post) proves you belong to the filth.
