How much does age matter?

As implied by the title, I want to know how much age matters. For instance, I started at a year ago at age 16 and now I’m 1700 lichess. How long do you all think it would take, if it’s even possible, for me to become a titled player, and how important is starting early?
It's simple the earlier you start, the stronger you'll get. I think at your age you definitely can be a titled player, from 0 to 1700 in a year is pretty good.

If you really like chess, work for it now rather than later.
If there was a correlation ... Age vs rating
Age 6 = Rating 600 Elementary school (Grade 1)
07 = 0700 Grade 2
08 = 0800 Grade 3
09 = 0900 Grade 4
10 = 1000 Grade 5
11 = 1100 Grade 6
12 = 1200 Secondary 1
13 = 1300 Secondary 2
14 = 1400 Secondary 3
15 = 1500 Secondary 4
16 = 1600 Secondary 5
17 = 1700
18 = 1800
19 = 1900
20 = Expert
21 = Master candidate
22 = Master

Seems easily attainable, if you are quick to notice things and are self-aware.

Good luck in your journey!

And when you'll be among the big fishes with a shiny title, hit me up for a game, I'll be honored.
One thing is certain...You won't be a master... until you master endgame. You should start endgame studies now. :] Best of luck to you.
Good to see that you are already doing it. Good solid endgame skill will serve you well at any level. :]
@Tucktuck24 , you can definitely improve fast at your level. I have improved 300+ points in months, and continue to steadily increase. It will start getting harder eventually of course, but you could be a GM for sure, if you really want to be.
It matters much. Every couple of years you have to double your efforts to get the same. Thus mpossible is nothing but with 30 you have a hard life getting real good.

By the way, I started at 16, 4 years later I had 2000 and became CM with 39 after all. I did the 10.000 hours of studying several times...
