A strawpoll to give a very determined player a much-deserved unique trophy.

A trophy for 64th place? No. I don't see anything special with playing 600 games in 24 hours. Sounds kind of dumb.

I suppose the next request will be a participation trophy.

You both just sound bitter to me.

So what's the trophy for? Playing 24 hrs straight? Isn't that what everyone else did, since it's a 24 hr marathon tournament.

He already got the Marathon Trophy.

I personally made a sudden decision to play the marathon and played approx 20 hrs with a 1 hr break in between until I collapsed however I had slept only for 4 hrs before starting to play however as a symbol of hardwork, tireless effort and perseverance I do think Lord_axe should get a special trophy because its very very difficult to play full 24 hrs especially as a lower rated player but doing so shows patience amongst frustration and disapointment of losing badly as u get more tired and start playing like a complete patzer as were the problems I faced which forced me to quit after 20 hrs, I congratulate him for his efforts and think he should be awarded a unique special trophy!

I actually made the suggestion to introduce a trophy for players who play the whole 24 hours just over a week ago.

And it's not really just a participation trophy. It would be an award for extreme stamina and dedication. Something players of all ratings can compete for and not just the top guys as usual.

No no I feel its totally reasonable to award such determination. It takes a lot of energy to play chess for 5 hours let alone 24 straight.
