Welcome to the 1st ever edition of the Racing Kings Open Championships (RKOC)! @James126, @Arjan_chess2, @FS-Schach, and I are proud to hold this tournament this year!
Participants will be assigned an opponent based on seeded ratings, and are expected to schedule their match with their opponent, and play their match before the end of a one-week round. Please do not register if you do not intend on scheduling matches with an opponent.
TC - 3+2 matches best of 10
Stage 1: Single Elimination until power of 2 (8, 16, 32, 64, etc)
Stage 2: Double Elimination until final 4
Stage 3: Round Robin
Stage 4: Final Match (2 point lead for round-robin winner)
There are 2 divisions: the Open division (for anybody who meets the entry requirements,) and the U2100 division with its own additional entry requirements. You may only play in 1 division. Please say which division when registering.
Registrations start now, and end on August 2nd, 12pm UTC. Rules and entry requirements can be viewed here: https://sites.google.com/view/rexrk/2025-rkoc/rules PLEASE READ THEM. Please do not attempt to register if you do not meet the entry requirements. The parings will be posted on August 3rd, and the tournament will begin.
