Couldn't claim a draw via

I tried to claim a draw via threefold repetition, had four seconds on the clock, tried repeatedly to no avail. Is this because of lag, or something else?

I'd post the game if I knew how. It's the last one I played. If you'd be so kind please tell me why it wasn't a threefold repetition. I'm clueless.
Yes, but nothing happened. Weird. This is the first time I've had an issue claiming a draw via threefold repetition. Whatever. I'm moving on. Thanks for the input.
I have been noticing that the 3 reps is treated differently in recent days. It seems that it is not an automatic state anymore; there is a button to confirm it.
I am not really sure, though.
Did you hit the draw button before you made the move that repeated the position for the third time and then made the move, or the other way around? Also do you have draw confirmation enabled? You can also enable to auto-claim draws, then you should not have to press the draw button at all, besides for draw offers.
If you haven't got auto-claim enabled, the correct way to claim is to hit the draw button while it is your turn to move, then make the move. If you do it the other way round, your opponent can get a move in before you hit the draw button, then it won't work. (That's analagous to how it should be done in OTB games.)

In a time scramble the procedure is tricky, so I'd definitely recommend switching on auto-claim in your settings, either "always" or "when time remaining < 30 seconds".

You should maybe just keep premoving for easy draw since it takes time to click button
