I am reluctant to start another thread focusing on the NBA Finals. But they are ... that good.

I hope many are watching. The final series is tied. There are two teams in the game. Both CLEARLY deserve to be there.

It's tied up.

Who on Earth will win? Any ideas? Admittedly, nobody knows.

Sure, it's not football or cricket. But it's still remarkable.

OKC does well when SGA does. With this kind of supporting cast SGA just needs to do mvp things and they should be fine. Of course the pacers have the clutch factor but that’s not really something to rely on, even with how many times they’ve pulled it off.

But I just saw Jalen Williams (well) interviewed after tonight's game.

And it became truly obvious: Jalen Williams is brilliant. If he doesn't end up, after his basketball career, on national television as a commentator, then ... either somebody is not sufficiently persuasive or not sufficiently insightful.

Seriously, Jalen Williams is terrifyingly competent. Remember this, for later.

Just to be clear, the anonymous "somebody" in #3 is NOT Jalen Williams himself, who seems both very insightful and persuasive. The "somebody" would be some hypothetical decision maker who didn't sufficiently realize or convey to others just how good Jalen might be as a commentator.

However, I doubt that too many could fail to realize how talented Jalen obviously is. I think he'd make a GREAT commentator.

Well, the day has arrived. Game 5. One of the better final series in a long time has reached an important fork in the road.

The series is tied. But after today it will not be, leaving either the Thunder or the Pacers needing to "win out" in order to win the series.

I don't think basketball often gets more watchable than tonight's game.
