Due to lichess.org lag, my game clock showed incorrect time - from my point of view, the opponent was thinking for a long time, but when he/she made a move, his clock was reset with over 40 seconds, and I was over a minute down from the previous time, and awarded a loss for leaving the game + bonus, a warning for having left the match. All the while, the RECONNECT sign was being displayed in the bottom left corner.
This is not a connection issue from my end, as all the other webpages ran normally, and the connection was strong. I have screenshots as proof that I cannot attach here for some reason.
I'd like to have my previous rating reset, as this was an underservedly awarded loss.
Unfortunately rating refunds are not possible in this scenario.
Has happened to me before my opponent stopped playing around move 15 and when her time ran out I didn't win and when I refreshed I had 20 seconds left in a 10 min no increment rapid game
Your opponent's internet was working perfectly, and he sent a move to LiChess.
LiChess's internet was working perfectly and received the move.
You saw an error message on your computer and you know everyone else's internet was working fine.
From those symptoms you may want to reevaluate your opinion on your own internet.
