My freedom of expression, even when I'm criticising (or: please open my topic)

Dear Lichess,
I have written a forum post explaining that I was falsely accused of using engine assistance. I'm innocent, and I wanted my Chess friends to see my post and say something on my behalf, to vouch for me.
But my topic was quickly closed! A Lichess moderator merely wrote that I should use the appeal link (which I already did a while ago, to no avail), and then he closed the topic. A few Chess friends just wrote to me that they were trying to leave there a comment, but couldn't.

Dear Lichess, please re-open my topic.
Please see what's going on here — I'm innocent and my account has been falsely flagged, as if I'm a cheater. And now, I'm not even allowed to discuss it publicly?!

This is my topic:
https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/need-my-fellow-chess-fans-support--my-account-was-flagged-1wpp

I used to have a lot of good things to say about Lichess. This behavior by Lichess mods is surprising—silencing criticism like that.
please re-open my topic. Especially when there are folks willing to vouch for me, if given a chance. Let me speak, and let them speak. Please.

thanks, ZinkBav

Firstly I want to clarify that I am not a mod in any way.

One of the reasons why your topic could have been shut down is that everything that has to do with ban decisions etc. doesnt really belong into the forums. Lichess has made forms and ways for appealing, and they expect you to use that, as you have already been referred to by a lichess mod.

If you have been around on the Lichess forums for a while, you will notice how present the topic of "i hav ben baned from lichess for no reson" was. It was only a starter for heated discussions and sometimes also insults or just biased posts. You yourself experienced that in your previous post. I'd be actually surprised if this topic is staying open.

Secondly, Lichess isn't really known for overturning a cheating decision for "my friends vouched for me". They really want to see proof, e.g. screen recording of the according game (streamers) or an explanation why you suddenly got so good or explaining some behaviour (even though this isn't always a guarantee for an unban).

TLDR: just use the forms and mechanisms that have been implemented for cases just like yours.

Rabergsel, I did use the form. I was denied.
Now please put yourself in my shoes. Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do? Wouldn't you want to at least speak up?

As for my topic that was closed, look closely and you'll see there was no heated discussion, nor insults. There was no reason to close it, and there's no reason not to re-open it.

For a cheat-mark dispute thread, it survived for quite long.

These threads are not accepted because bans are only disputed via appeal, and if it's denied, then the ban is final.

It has nothing to do with "heat" or "insults" etc

You were already told that the forum is not the place to dispute disciplinary measures. Please respect that.
