why do some players play only as white?

from firsthand experience, i've stumbled upon players who play only one particular color, mostly white. i play only hyper/ultra. some players will decline rematches only to go back to the lobby and get paired against me over and over and over again since at 1900 hyper there isn't constantly some other player in the lobby.

their point is they are always playing as white. i'm not saying they are playing unfair or abusing the system. thing is i don't get how at their level and in fast control like 1/2 +0 they'd see difference in colors huge nuff to completely change their game behaviour cause of that. most of them don't even use white end as the means to make some cheap 3-4 move tricks like scholar's mate. so i really don't get what their point is.

what's your opinion on that?
maybe they dont know many openings for black and know everything only as white. Or they are just racist
There is a slight advantage playing white, but it only becomes apparent at very high , almost elite, level.
Plenty of excellent articles on it by several WM's and well qualified people.
