US rhetoric about china will not fade quickly. That's one of the biggest factors in the upcoming election.

Trump takes the china threat very seriously, as well he should. china could have contained this wuhanvirus at the source and spared the world. But instead china chose to allow it to spread around the globe and cause mass devastation. Many countries affected will not forget what happened with this virus.
Good to see you finally admit that trump employs rhetoric.
@happysmile77 the US rhetoric about China is already starting to fade. Trump babbling at the occasional rally doesn't mean anything. China doesn't care and never will.

The US failed response to the pandemic is to blame for the vast majority of cases. The continued failed US response is why the EU and other countries will continue to ban travel from the US. The failed US response will further sink the US economy and no amount of deflection and blaming will make a difference.
@happysmile77 don’t you think a more important story is your government being aware of at least ten soldier’s deaths related to Russia having a bounty. Unless you think US special forces are also fake news.

Has there ever been a time your president didn’t use the fake news cop out?
Daniel you do realize that taking into account the countries population America's death rate is lower than Spain , United Kingdom , Belgium , France , Sweden , Italy and Andorra ?

How on earth could President Trump be responsible for those deaths ?

It will probably rise since you had tens of thousands gathering together in large groups over the last few weeks , but since they were protesting against President Trump blaming him does not make much sense .
@Mopman Yes, many countries had a failed response...very unfortunate because this has been predicted for almost 20 years and is actually the third serious SARS related outbreak. I was critical of the US response not just failures by the president.

I'm not aware of tens of thousands protesting Trump...the world coverage described that as protesting police murdering people because they are black. Were there other protests after Trump tweeted the racist white power video? That certainly seemed to be throwing gas on the fire.
So "many countries had a failed response" , now are they all incompetent or did the disinformation given to them by the Chinese Government ( as established previously ) play a role in that?

@Mopman mostly incompetency, a good example is the US response was set back almost a month by the US CDC sending out defective testing kits due to contamination in their own labs. So basically a month of executive denial followed by another month of faulty testing kits. Now it looks like the US states have opened up to soon and citizens are ignoring basic precautions so it is still spreading unabated.

As far as disinformation... a first year medical student can use a microscope and tell if it is a type of coronavirus. The world has known about coronavirus strains since the 1960s. There is no mystery and completely expected. It was always a matter of when and where.

"a first year medical student can use a microscope and tell if it is a type of coronavirus"

So its easy to identify and plans were known for 20 years , why did China allow it to explode in Wuhan Province and spread to the rest of the world?
