To be honest, I blame the dad for leaving ammunition in his gun in a spot where his kid could access it.
Exactly... and that was my point... just a safety reminder... to be careful with guns.

I think the second point was that the dad was an idiot.

With a lot of regrets.... ;-(
Sorry, I can't chat on this topic anymore... painful memory...
I just felt moved to write what I did...
Take care

I don't have a favourite gun. I like all guns, provided they kill well.

Are y'all for real right now or just kidding?
I wasn't expecting chess fans like us to be interested in discussing about firearms, of all things.
I find the subject of deadly tools like guns highly inappropriate, especially for kids around here.
I have to say I'm terribly disappointed -- By the way I really like the M416! It's a gas operated assault rifle which can hold 5.56mm rounds.
It's design is based on the AR-15 class of firearm. This bad boy can be equipped with a variety of attachments to make it more potent as it's an advanced version of the M4 carbine.
Man I love that thang! (I use it only on video games btw)

Your first post stated pretty clearly imho that adding anything would not be compassionate.

I am not sure what your are referring to...
My first post (#15) was about safety and I shared a story from my personal experience.
That was all.

Ah! Maybe I see what you are thinking...
In my mind I was thinking I wrote it this way:
He lived with a lot of regrets.
But perhaps the way I typed it sounded rude...
Maybe that clarifies things for you... I certainly didn't mean to convey I was insensitive to a situation that was truly painful in my community. It is the farthest thing from my mind. I don't blame people for accidents.
