Hello everybody.

7 messages per week this is absolutely not enough for me. This makes big difficulties in organizing tournaments at needed time.

@FutureAstronomer
Team messages about joining team battles/tournaments annoying you? So just unsubscribe from the team messages, why do you subscribe if they annoy you? I remind team members that if they don't want to receive messages, they can easily unsubscribe from them. But many people don't unsubscribe. How do you think, why? Maybe they need these team messages?!

Maybe you don't like the teams you are in? But why did you join them? Just leave these teams and no problem! If you were on our team and I found out that you don't like our team, I would ask you to leave the team.

Why should other people suffer because of people like you who are annoyed by team messages and teams, but can't lift a finger to unsubscribe from messages or leave the team?

Or maybe you don't like tournaments? Look, we're here to play chess, not to chat. There are plenty of other places to chat. But looking at your profile, I see that you love talking much more than playing chess: you have just a few hundred chess games and over a thousand posts on the forum.

So, once again, the question is: why should others suffer because of people like you? People who need messages, including messages about joining team battles/tournaments, who came to play chess/tournaments and not to chat. Why?

Good chess games to all.

I agree with you. I'm not here to only chat but I'm here to play as well. I didn't meant to say that team messages should be disabled or anything like that. I used to get many annoying messages, that's what I wanted to say. And also I join teams by my will.

P.S. I mostly play on my alt account so I play less in this, FutureAstronomer account.

If you agree with me, then don't say that 7 messages per week is good, because it is a huge problem for many team leaders who organize something and really try to do something for chess. For example, Lichess does not organize enough Chess960 tournaments, and now it turns out that it also creates some obstacles in their increase.

At the same time, these 'annoying' team messages can be disabled in one click and they will not be there at all! Just disable "Subscribe to team messages" button on the team page, and that's all. If you need, you can always contact the team leader for any question. And you can leave any inadequate team at any time, why be in it?

Then why restrict the sending of messages, creating problems for receivers who need these messages and for organizers who organize tournaments for these people and send appropriate messages?

Are you feeling like I insulted you via my post? Fine, I'll delete it.

My intentions weren't of doing that. But still, taking my words back.
