I'll start:

Playing against 2N as black is my worst nightmare. Only options are 2...c6 and 2...nh6 and neither one is fun to play against stronger players

As for me: nf3, nc3.

  1. e3 e6 2. Nf3

Nf3 e3 move order that I've never figured out:

  1. Nf3 f6 2. e3 d5 3. Ng5 fxg5 4. Qh5+ g6 5. Qe5 Be6 6. b3 Na6 7. Nc3

Drawish, not fun:

  1. e3 e6 2. Qf3 f5

Mainline Nf3 e3 and 2N (Nh6 line, 6. exf5) are both tough, although Nf3 e3 is easier to draw imo.

Edit: Adding in 1. e3 e6 2. Nh3 h6 3. Nf4 after reading this thread.

that Nf3 e3 move order you speak of is one of my favorite lines as white! Though black definitely has some ideas there. Wolfram was able to prep against me in it for AWC and score 1.5 pts out of 2 games in it as the black side if i remember correctly!

The wolfram prep was funny.
I will vote for e3 e6 nh3 h6 nf4 too.
Nf3 e3 is also very annoying to face, unless you know a lot of theory in f6 d5 (which I don’t).
You shouldn’t hate on 2N tho, there’s a good number of scam tricks black can play that make the game nontrivial and interesting, compared to the above 2 openings I’ve mentioned.

Upon further thought, I have decided N7PRO/irlz spam is quite annoying too. (Nf3 f6 nd4 nh6 nf5 nxf5 nc3 c6 d4 d5 nb5)
