I guess Magnus will win one game with white and this is enough to defend his title.

I do not think Nepo can draw 14 games in a row. He never showed this consistency before. So if he can not beat Magnus in classical chess it looks grim for him. In a tiebreak he would have decent chances.
With CPLs of 2 and 3, surely we should be marvelling at their brilliance in being able to calculate the best moves and see way ahead. Hands up anyone who understands Carlsens Bg7 until it’s value is realised later?

That’s why this is far more interesting than bloodbath blitz chess ... which is a bit like 20-20 cricket.. fun to watch but nowhere near true to what true cricket is.. test match cricket.

like everything else now, it’s an instant fix that’s demanded. Something, anything in fact, cheap over something of value.

For those that want the cheap fix, you have the option to just not watch instead of watching and then bitching.
I was surprised by Nepo 21.h3, it seems a bit passive in a position where his pieces look very menacing.
Wait, I feel that the reason FIDE gives so much time is to CALCULATE the moves they have to calculate. They need to calculate a long while to find the best move. Their not like us, who play in 1 minute - less and blunder :)
