@Clearchesser You do have to play him in order to beat him' . Geller's advice in The Application Of Chess Theory regarding beating Worls Chess Champions ,,, You gotta play them at least in Simuls
@ClearchesserThis one is tough to call. On one hand it's true that MC is super talented and many people consider him the GOAT. But on the other hand lots of amateur online players improved a lot due to the sheer number of courses available today. Not to mention everybody can get very good advices on chess forums ("I need a new opening against 1.d4"). Once the amateur players wins a game or two and gets into a streak everything is possible but I would still give MC an edge due to his vast experience.
