Hey everyone!
Let’s take a little break from the future... and look backward for a moment.
What’s something from the past — an object, tool, gadget, or style — that you think deserves a comeback?
Maybe it's:
- A typewriter clacking away on a quiet afternoon
- Vinyl records spinning on a turntable
- Handwritten letters in the mail
- Pocket watches, film cameras, cassette players, flip phones...
Whatever it is, tell us why you think the world would be better (or at least cooler) if it came back!
Let the nostalgia begin.
What would you bring back?

For me? Definitely handwritten letters.
There’s just something magical about opening an envelope, unfolding the paper, and seeing someone’s real handwriting: messy or neat, it feels human.
Emails are fast, sure... but they’ll never have that feeling of sitting by a window, re-reading a letter from someone you care about while sipping tea.
Plus, let’s be honest, everyone loves getting real mail that isn’t a bill.

I kinda miss the old telephone books especially the yellow pages,a pretty handy reference to all the businesses in town.
I used to like to peruse the classified section of the newspaper particularly the Sunday paper.
Christmas catalogs were pretty cool especially as a kid,Sears and Roebuck,Montgomery Ward. They were called wishbooks.
Trading stamps were pretty cool also. S and H were probably the most common and we'd save them up in the books provided by the supermarkets and eventually you'd have enough to get some cool stuff radios, baseball gloves, tools whatever.
Phone booths were kinda cool. You could get out of the wind and cold and we'd have little codes to send messages without paying the dime for a call if we didn't happen to have a dime. This usually was just making a collect call which you friend wouldn't accept but he knew what you meant if he got a collect call from Mr Jones or Mr Smith or whoever. Lol,little kids outsmarting the system.
One thing I really miss is the mom and pop operations, hardware store, diners, whatever. Back before Walmart and fast food came along and crushed the soul of small business. My dad had a cousin Leland who ran a little store, cracker barrel, wheel cheese, pot belly stove , a checkerboard and conversation.
You're not going to find that at Walmart.

Those Casio watches with all the buttons on them, that when we were young we used to boast that my watch has more buttons than yours, so it's better!, and it's got a world clock function button, a light button, an alarm button, and a timer button, plus there's even a button to change the settings on the other buttons!, and what's more it's fully waterproof to 200 feet (yours only goes to 150 feet, I can keep going another 50 feet and still have a functional watch!) and mines shock proof too by the way (apart from the price).

Bring back flip phones, please.
There was no better feeling than hanging up on someone with a dramatic clack. You felt powerful. Like a movie character.
Also, no social media apps stealing your time, just Snake, ringtones, and maybe a blurry photo of your dog.
Simpler times. Fewer notifications. More battery life.
Let’s flip again!

Yepp, bring back those Casio watches, but they don't have a button for getting you a Motel room. :). lol
I really like the way "John Candy" displays his Casio watch in this scene, it's as if it's a rare Necklace being displayed lol. :).

I vote for the return of boomboxes with cassette players.
Why? Because nothing says “I have arrived” like walking down the street with a giant stereo on your shoulder, blasting a mixtape you made from songs recorded off the radio.
Sure, Bluetooth speakers are cool... but they don’t click, whirr, or chew tapes like the old ones did.
Plus, flipping the cassette to Side B felt like a ritual.
Music, style, nostalgia and a built-in arm workout. Bring back the boombox!
