In Star Trek, they buffer you. Put you in the buffer.
Then they send you across, into the other buffer.
And then they get you out of the buffer on the other side.
It's quite a remarkable technology, when you start thinking about it.

He means that without material body, You may think and do other things too, and that is soul wich is not like in religion
