Ettiquette re: take-backs and offering draws

1) Never accept take-backs or give additional time to your opponent no metter what happens, also, never ask for rematch (I think it's humilitaing to ask a favor for someone that doesn't owe you anything -- a rematch; just go for another game with another player).

2) Never ask your opponent to give you take-backs or additional time, even when you make a "mouse slip" move or lost so much time due your bad conection.

Well, I am using these two "rules" -- don't give anything, and don't ask anything. It looks fair.
@BrazilianBrother1996 what exactly is humiliating about asking for a rematch? All I am seeing is that, if I played a beautiful game against my opponent, then I have the rights to challenge him/her again.
Even those who won still enjoy playing again.
@#31
I must agree with #32 here, there is nothing "humiliating" about asking your opponent for a rematch, neither is it "asking a favor".
Over the board, that would amount to "good game, do you want to play another one?", I don't understand why that is upsetting, you can always just say "nah".
I think even Sarg0n would agree that there is nothing wrong with asking for a rematch.
On the other hand, spamming rematch offers or insulting an opponent for not accepting constitutes unacceptable behavior.
If somebody still has the ? beside their rating, I'll probably give them a takeback. Otherwise I probably won't, unless it is an obvious misclick and they arrive one square short of the obvious target square, or something like that.

Don't see the issue with looking for a rematch, especially after a close game.
Okay, so I just played a game, and I allowed a takeback ... and I have now completely revised my position on takebacks ... no takebacks, absolutely no exceptions.

By the time you've listened to your opponents argument in chat and mulled over if to allow or not; your own clock has run down and your focus has been diverted away from the game. Much better to not even consider a takeback proposal.

Infact, it would be good if lichess provided the (per-user) option to disable the takeback mechanic alltogether.
It does #38, go into your settings, and you can disable the asking for-and giving of takebacks.
