IAF Antichess World Championship in Amsterdam 28th and 29th of June.

Hi everyone,

With less than a month away, the 4th edition of the most prestigious OTB Antichess event will take place. With 21 competitors so far we are set for a thrilling weekend. With this post we hope to reach most of the antichess community out here on Lichess.

However, dear reader, there are still a lot of antichess fans out there that don't know about our event. And we hope we can reach out to you this way.

For those that don't know us: we are a small team of antichess enthusiasts and volunteers aiming to deliver the most exciting antichess event there is. We organize this event on a yearly basis with great success. But the party would be incomplete without you!

You can read all about the event here: https://www.antichess.org/

You can still join us for 2025 (sign-ups close a day before the event starts), but fear not, we are set to continue the journey for years to come.

We also recently made a team here to keep in touch with those who are interested:
https://lichess.org/team/iaf-antichess-world-championship-team

We recommend you to join this team:

  • If you want to stay up to date with what we (@BBLGL and me) do for this event.
  • If you ever attended the event, so that you can share your experience with those interested in participating sometimes.
  • If you are planning to join this event some time in the future. Even if it is 5 years from now.
  • If you want to know the latest news for this event.
  • If you are looking for an easy accesible overview for everything regarding this prestigious event!

Thank you for taking your time to read this post.

See you around the chessboard.
