ANICHESS RISING STARS II: OFFICIAL REGULATIONS

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Platform: anichess.com
Event Date: May 24, 12:00 UTC
Total Participants: Strictly limited to 16 players
Tournament Format: Single Elimination Knockout bracket
Match System: All matches (from Round 1 to Grand Finals) are Best of 3 (BO3)
Time Control: 5 minutes + 2 seconds increment
Mandatory Presence: All players MUST be present in the official Anichess Discord at the start of the tournament

2. FINALISTS SELECTION & CONFIRMATION

Selection Criteria (as of May 23, 00:00 UTC):
1. Top 3 winners from the previous tournament (https://lichess.org/tournament/i3nDX2dX)
2. Top 3 qualifiers from the Team Battle (https://lichess.org/tournament/eQiOIvDu)
3. Top 8 players by Anichess rating among registered newcomers
4. Top 2 players by total games played (from May 11, 00:00 UTC to May 23, 00:00 UTC)
Live Tracking: Standings can be monitored at anichesstracker.com
Confirmation Procedure: Selected finalists must confirm participation no later than May 23, 14:00 UTC
- How to confirm: Send a private message (DM) to @Apex960 on Lichess
Substitution Policy: If a player fails to confirm by the deadline, the spot will be given to the next eligible player in the rating standings (9th, 10th place, etc.)
Status Update: All 16 finalists will no longer be considered "Anichess Newcomers" and will be ineligible for future newcomer-only tournaments

3. MATCH PROCEDURE

Colors Rotation: Higher seed plays White in Game 1. Colors: White (G1) -> Black (G2) -> White (G3)
Hosting: The player playing White creates the game via Custom Mode and shares the link in Discord
Spell Strategy Rule (MANDATORY):
- All spells used in a match MUST BE UNIQUE
- You cannot repeat a spell within the same BO3 match (up to 9 unique spells required)
- Penalty: Repeating any spell results in an immediate TECHNICAL LOSS for that game
Waiting Time: 7 minutes grace period. After 7 minutes, a technical loss may be issued
Disconnects: Players are responsible for their own internet connection. No replays for disconnects

4. PRIZE POOL ($600 USD IN $CHECK TOKENS)

1st Place: $200 | 2nd Place: $120 | 3rd Place: $80 | 4th Place: $40
5th-8th Places: $20 each | 9th-16th Places: $10 each
Payment: Prizes are sent in $CHECK tokens to linked wallets within 2 days

Fair Play: Any disputes will be resolved by the Anichess referee team. All decisions are final
