White or Black?

Which side do you believe has an advantage over the other: White or Black?

Objectively none: chess is a draw. Black however has a narrower choice of good moves, thus scores a little less in practice.

I think white has the most advantage because white goes first. Here is a story, my dad plays chess and when he plays with me he always wanted to be black lol! I am not sure why but yeah.

In my opinion, it depends on people's habits and the openings they like to play.

@Poulpito I agree with your reason too.....most people are both fine with white or black because there is not much different.

I play a lot of atomic games, and I know some rather useful opening moves.

White just have the advantage of moving first but that doesn't decide that white is a better side to play
