I've clicked on move 36, 34 & 32 and the diagram is frozen. Which means?
There is a common misconception that the threefold repetition rule refers to a repetition of moves. This is not true. It is a repetition of the position on the board that matters. And the repetition does not have to happen on immediately consecutive moves either.
Thanks for replying - maybe I didn't phrase it well - there was not threefold repitition it simply did not happen there is a pawn move on move 31 so you don't have to go back to far to work it out. Yet the game ended on move 36 saying threefold repitition - must be a bug in the program?
