Do you have memories of comics in newspapers?

never actually saw the comic i read a book and in that book it had a scene where it referenced that comic
would you recommend reading it?

I am old enough to remember all that, yes. I also remember there were these pieces of clay you could get that you would rub onto the newspaper comics and a little bit of the ink would transfer to the clay, and you could even then transfer it to a third piece of paper or some such...

Regardless, I was not a huge comics fan. Oh, I was not against them, I would definitely go to the 'funny pages' whenever the Sunday paper was out and I had nothing else to do, and I have enjoyed books of Sunday comics in dentist's & doctor's offices as a boy, but it was never my 'go to' thing.

Calvin and Hobbes as
Calvin and Hobbies
I literally read like " oh its calvin and "HOBBIES"
and one day, I read it carefully, it was hobbes
but Hobbies made a more rhymical sound maybe...
even I am writing as hobbes , but I am reading it as Hobbies
lol
