Barry attack in otb game

Yesterday at Board 1 in our league. I wasn’t content with my prep; yet 2 hours before the game I concocted 7. ... Nbd7! instead of 7. ... Qa5 and I went for it. White Elo 2184, my overall score 6/8 against decent opposition.

100min/40 moves + 50min/rest, 30s increment/move starting move 1.

So this was an 4 hour game.
White lost all their opening advantage with a dubious opening
Thx. I saw during the prep that Aronian and Carlsen sometimes use this opening.
White have lost his center, why? When I try back some moves to understand, I cant know the 'right move' other than the simple 3.c4 (instead Nc3).

White lack of harmony... All time I try solve white problemas I cant coordenate his pieces... On other side, black have all pieces coordenated on center, two bishops control the center.

maybe 5.e4 was possible? I dont know, that c3-knight and c2-pawn look awkward.
Looked to me like he switched plans and that is what killed him. Also 11. a5 seemed dubious due to lack of development. This doesn't feel like a "Barry attack" to me. Like the previous poster stated, one of the main plans in the Barry attack is to make attempts to play e4. I'll admit I don't know a lot about the Barry, but I do have a little theory on it. It's in some specialty books I have from when I was trying to learn Colle systems. I don't think his opening choice killed him I think he made poor positional mistakes. And like I said, seemed to go back and forth in plans. When black started attacking white just handed him the initiative. I might like the a2-a4-a5 more if he had not traded the d4 pawn for the c5 pawn.
