that really depends on where, when, the occasion and the company. And the food.
Coffee with cream, brown sugar and just a pinch of cinnamon while reading the paper on a lazy morning off.
Cold, slightly bitter lager (Pilsener is good) very cold, from a tub of icy water (so cold that pieces of ice stick to my arm), on a hot summer afternoon shooting the breeze with friends and family. Dockside at a cottage for bonus points.
Dark, tanic Italian red wine with home made lasagna on a winter evening. Any evening. Chocolate truffles later with another glass of wine for bonus points.
On another winter evening, it might be a glass or 3 of dark stout or porter while watching the Leafs actually win a hockey game. Not cold, not warm, but cellar cool. If your stout is room-temperature, you need to get your furnace fixed.
Chinese medicinal wine on an evening when I have time to put my feet up and read or play computer games.
