Is advertising on Lichess ok?

Many people advertise their teams/simuls or other things on Lichess, and some people don't like it. What do you think?

Advertising a team or simul is okay once. Advertising your off-site material, I think, is unethical, but a good site which isn't self-promotion is fine. Advertising with the aim of "earning" money should cause a lifetime ban.

I'm just warning you. I advertised my tournament once and then started talking to another player about how this bantam (a tiny breed of chicken) crossed the zebra crossing in my town and how it was found eating lasagna at a table in a restaurant when a message came up, you have been timed out. Is talking about lasange-eating chickens banned?
