New chess player!

Hello everyone!
I am a new chess player from Greece. I know the basics of chess and I really love solving chess puzzles but at live games my performance is really bad.
Where should I start from? I want to become a good chess player.
Thank you in advance.
Play, play, play. Don't play Blitz, though, because "Blitz makes the good ones better & the bad ones worse". You need to have a certain level to play Blitz, otherwise you train yourself to play "cheap tricks" that are "bad chess" & will not work in longer games. Do the puzzles & take the lesssons. You can excercise your opening wisdom in Correspondence & Rapid games. In Correspondence, you also have the Opening Book (book icon in the analysis window (microscope icon)). You might also like to study master games, there are periodic blogs like e.g. "Game of the Week" here on Lichess. Remember: every loss can make you better, but a win just pleases your ego. Have fun!
Agree with Walter, play games. Start with ratings close to yours but if you start to improve then play higher rated players. You may lose more games but you will learn from them and become a better player. Welcome to the greatness of chess.
I am 64 years old and a new player The lessons and puzzles are very helpful. I recommend that you don't try to go too fast. Just keep working at it. In 3 weeks I played a live game and felt much more confident. Good luck.

Puzzle streak, racer and storm will help you.
@DreamOfYesterday I have some blog posts where I have gone into detail on how to pass the rating levels of 1200 and 1500. You might check them out. I don't want to rewrite everything here.
