I am asking since i don't really like very sharp positions, though i can be okay in them. Though i am too much of a beginner to worry about that. Still, a response to the question above would be much appreciated.

Look at what positional players like Capablanca and Karpov played: Ruy Lopez, Petrov, Caro-Kann
I think the ruy lopez or petrov is great. especially since the petrov comes as a surprise, its kind of rare in top play now.
try scandi. It is like a caro can for noobs, easier and worse. Still solid and positional
1...e5, 1...e6 or 1...c6 is what you're looking for.
