Every chess player should.
'The student would do well to exercise himself methodically in this ending, as it gives a very good idea of the actual power of the pieces, and it requires foresight in order to accomplish the mate within the fifty moves which are granted by the rules.' - Capablanca

main idea is conquer king to the corner that allows bishop to give mate from the center, king will go to safew corner , where bishop can't give mate, you should prevent that
I did at some point. I think you are more likely to be struck by a lightning bolt than having this endgame organically, so really not worth the time to learn it unless you are IM or above.
"not worth the time"
* of course it is worth the time, listen to Capablanca
One day you will have a completely won endgame and your opponent will sacrifice his pieces for your last pawns. Then you will fail to checkmate him with your KBN within 50 moves and you will regret having been lazy.

Also its just a major flex. Worth learning.

Was he a GM? Yes. Im not, so it doesnt apply to me. I dont have to try to save face when that one appears on the board. I have not faced that ending in over 15,000 games. Im not gonna lose sleep if I dont manage to finish it the 1 time it appears on the board. Its more useful to study endings that are more common.
Thats why people dont get better. They study garbage that is super specific and will never happen in their games instead of focusing on things that happen all the time.

"Was he a GM? Yes. Im not, "
* Capablanca recommended it to 'the student' and he eloquently explained why.

Complete waste of time learning this endgame...you will probably forget it after a week and might encounter it about 3 times in your life if that...save the effort to keep a few rating points 10 years after learning this checkmate
