Puzzle Ratings

Whenever I do puzzles, for example if I do a correct Normal difficulty puzzle it only gives me like plus 5-10, BUT, THE THEME IS MATE IN 5 OR MORE! Also, when I solve a puzzle incorrectly it subtracts my puzzle rating like -15- -20. So are there any of you that are experiencing the same problems? If so, you can also share your lichess puzzle experience down below.

BTW, I gain about 25 points, but lose like 60 in just like 20 mins

I personally agree. Once I solved a really hard puzzle, TBF it was like mate in 3 BUT the puzzle was rated 2500 and I only got plus 3!! And I once lost a puzzle rated around 2800, and I lost 5 rating points!

Knowing that there is a forced mate is very valuable information which makes puzzles considerably easier, therefore you get much fewer points for solving puzzles with such themes. Those interested in the details can study the source.

That's completely normal for themed puzzles.

In a themed puzzle, such as checkmates, you know what you're looking for. You know you're looking for a checkmate, and that it's going to take five moves or more. This is like knowing you should be looking for a pin if that's the puzzle theme, or a discovered attack if that's the puzzle theme, etc.

Since you already know what you're looking for, that technically makes the puzzle easier, and therefore you get less rating for getting it right and get punished more for getting it wrong.

If you want a more even distribution of elo, I would suggest doing non-themed puzzles that keep you guessing what the tactic is!
