Is Owen's Defense sound opening?

I've seen many videos on Ytube that tells people how to crush this. In fact, Owen's Defense is quite rare on lichess in my experience. So why is that? Does that means the opening is completely inferior?
Use Ronaldo or Messi's defense, they are better. Just kidding.

Owen's defense:
1. e4 b6

Maybe a bit inferior because Grandmaster rarely played it.

It's okay. A bit on the fringe, maybe...but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's unsound. (And after all, they used to say the same sort of thing about 1... g6).

And btw I knew a NM who used to open every game with 1 b3 or 1... b6.
i have played 1.b6 in classical 90+30 tournament against like 1200 it gave me 2-0 result(i won those games)
as I have already won important games with this opening, I would say yes. it gives an effect of surprise
Owen's Defense is sound, but it is basically just a surprise weapon. However, it is very effective in faster time controls because:

A: It’s a surprise weapon. Your opponent will not be as prepared for it as ...e5 or the Sicilian. This means that if you play it every game against 1.e4, you will have a lot of experience with it.

B: It's moves are quite intuitive and you can easily blitz them out. This makes it good for blitz.
it definitely sound for you. Your strength in blitz is 1400+ if go into analysis board and make whites first move and configure to include only games lichess brackets 1400 and 1600 you will that pretty much all first moves are fine. all have Pwin about 45% for black. This includes b6.
It isn't the best opening, and it isn't positionally sound...but is it effective? Perhaps.
Playing the Owns as Black against other 2700+ players, Radjabov has played some (two rapid, one blitz) and Nepomniachtchi has played a couple (blitz). Therefore, it's at least marginally sound! However, you must be prepared to play a somewhat passive position in which White is likely to have a slight advantage for quite a long time. If you're comfortable with that, I see no reason not to play it sometimes (maybe not all the time!).
