Yeah, it's from dawn to sunset. I wil tell you right away, from فجر to مغرب, it's very hard. You become aware of everything that touches your mouth.
If you eat/drink something by accident (you forgot you were fasting), you must redo the fast in any other day after Ramadan finished. But if you eat something on purpose, you knew you were fasting and you gobbled up anything, you must after Ramadan do one of these 2 (3, freeing a slave, but there are no slaves in present era): Feed 60 poor people, or fast 60 days in a row. Don't eat on purpose in Ramadan.

Also, any nutrient that enters the body while fasting is forbidden, no vomiting, no smoking, no alimentary complements, no eum white liquid for men in daytime, nor any videos that encourage those to leave the men body in daytime. And for women in period or sick/old people or those in travels, you don't fast.

It has huge benefits for the health
Weight loss: Fasting can help promote weight loss by reducing calorie intake and increasing fat burning.

Improved insulin sensitivity: Fasting has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, which can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes and improve blood sugar control in people who already have diabetes.

Reduced inflammation: Fasting has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body, which is a contributing factor to many chronic diseases.

Improved heart health: Fasting has been linked to a reduction in blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and other markers of heart disease risk.

Improved brain function: Fasting has been shown to promote the growth of new nerve cells in the brain and improve cognitive function.

Increased longevity: Some studies suggest that fasting may increase lifespan and improve overall health and well-being in later years.
Happy Ramadan to every Muslim! I'm not Muslim but I knew some and sometimes they kept themselves away from doing group things during Ramadan because they thought they wouldn't fit in because of their fasting, even if it hurt them socially or professionally. Any Muslim reading this please don't feel that way! Any good person will understand your situation and it shouldn't be weird or uncomfortable joining allowed secular activities during the day even when you are fasting!
