puzzle again ..

smiles damn fun things .. but .. ? you tell me .. why is my way worse ? and i lost points for alternate and i feel safer way to mate in same number of moves .. appears to be some kind of skewed bias in here.. when there are two equal valid responses why is one punished ? at moment this is training us to react in a biased manner without option for better choice, or we get punished for THINKING ?! maybe i am mising something .. please let me know so i can adjust my own bias if needed .. cheers all .. keep fanging kings !

Here is the pgn and move where the puzzle starts if anyone is wondering:

The solution goes as follows:
30. Nf6+, gxf6
31. Qg6+, Kh8
32. Rxh6 Nxh6
33. Qxh6#

@quietcricket 's solution is 32. Bxf7
This, however, blunders mate in 1 with 32...Rxf4#

Please check your answer with Stockfish before making assumptions.
did you actually try my move ? .. no matter what takes the my bishopf7 .. next move is Rh6+ checkmate?! where is the blunder ?! maybe i just blind and still cannot see how this was wrong ?.. sometimes that happens ..

your assumption is that i know what stockfish is ? ass u me !!! what is stockfish ? i shall look.. i presume engines that i have heard about . . that people use to cheat .. and analyse .. whatever went wrong with human asking and discussing .. chess is not just about winning .. it is also about engaging and learning .. i have watched lessons where the so called engine says the move is shitty?!.. but then explained that stratadgy overall was not considered as to points position ?.. i have stared at logic algorythm for hours before seeing bug in code .. sometimes we have blind spots .. and without help it can become ingrained ... i am discovering .. so try not to be so negative .. i have found many bugs in software over the years in m,y jobs , nothing is inconsequential other than NOT ASKING ! and allowing oneself and others to consider alternatives .. to develop via exchange of ideas ... cheers fo at least feedback .. not many bother .. better to be constructive, and, not so close minded about your power to shame or punish without actually comprehending statement before you .. or testing it ?! maybe you are just AI?.. hmmm ...... no nuance!
> did you actually try my move ? .. no matter what takes the my bishopf7 .. next move is Rh6+ checkmate?!

They don't take your bishop. They checkmate you with Rd1# or Rxf4#.
Since the white king is on h8, BxN on f7 is not check, therefore black does not have to take it by force. Instead black just plays their rook to f4 or d1 which is checkmate in both cases.

Now, this forum (which is also not the right place to complain about puzzles, that is the feedback) is meant for players to share their doubts about puzzles AFTER checking the engine. The engine tool is there to let you know what happens after you play your move, thinking that's the solution when it's not.
If you had turned on the engine and played Bxf7 on the board, you would have seen that it immediately points out that Rxf4 or Rd1 is mate for black, and that your solution is therefore definitely wrong.
Please check the engine next time you have doubts.
This guy's posts make no sense.

Someone points out that his move is not a correct solution (like he says it is) and he starts giving some dumb and condescending lecture on closed mindedness.

You also don't need an engine at all to see that the move is bad. His solution just blunders mate in 1.
ok .. smiles .. i didnt see it and you have helped me .. now i know about the checkmate i did not see . i was one move behind ..... thanks to those for making that so simple explanation rather than just saying follow blindly .. this is what it is all about folks .. why complain about me and whinge because i challenge your comfort zones .. this is learning .. come play me if you want to punish me personally .. lol.. i love challanges .. only way to learn fast ..
you all assume i know how to use an engine ?.. why .. i came here play chess and am discovering stuff all sbout ... smiles .. i am presunming now that i shall engage more with "engines " but why try to belittle me because i do not know somethnig ?!
It's not because anyone wants to belittle you, it's just about keeping forums from getting over clogged.

99% of the threads in feedback are not real bugs but just user error.

Nobody wants to belittle you because you didn't know something, we're just saying that there are many useless forum threads created because people make huge assumptions without looking at the issue independently first, and we get annoyed when the website and it's developers get attacked everytime someone gets a puzzle wrong. Again, this isn't really YOUR fault, it's just that MANY similar forums have been created so people have little patience unfortunately.

Hopefully the thread has helped.

You worked out how to use the forum, but not the engine literally built into lichess? After you complete a puzzle it's this button right here: https://i.imgur.com/6HS8ahL.png
(I obscured the solution to todays puzzle)

On mobile it's the same button, but it's below the board, not to the side.

Click it and lichess will literally start telling you the best engine move in every position. So you can try your alternative move and immediately discover that it doesn't work.

In the puzzle we're talking about here, you can try your move and immediately see that black now has a huge number of moves that result in mates: https://i.imgur.com/Jsu8vFv.png
