Why doesn't stockfish take the queen back with the pawn?
The engine thought keeping the queen on the board and keeping the knight out was better??
en.lichess.org/1xDHcNwG/white#0Its a level 4 computer, level 4 computers love to blunder pieces
I think you've discovered a way to beat stockfish
oh, i didn't know it was level 4
Stockfish said that taking the queen is -2.2 and pushing the pawn is +8.7
At lower levels engines like to do silly things like this from time to time. They will play serious for some moves, then toss these stupid blunders in.
It shoots itself in the foot sometimes at lower levels.
The reason why it does such things is to give wins to lower leveled players. Then when they win they want to practice against it more, and then they try on a little harder level.
