Hello humans :) I've got a question about the pawn promotion. Are the official rules that you can have up to 9 queens? I used to play the to the rule, that you can only have one queen on the board and exchange the pawns to anything else you lost (well except pawns obvs :D). Is that legit too? Is there a variant that plays with the rules?
Chess rules state that pawns can promote to any piece of their color besides the king and another pawn, regardless of any other factors.
Apparently st4rscr34m is not a big fan of the rules.
@Diogenesse these were the rules until like 400 or 200 years ago. very inconsistent in different regions. also imo it's kinda bollocks
