Hello lichess. I have recently played a rapid game and at the end it was clearly showing that my opponents clock ran out of time,but instead the game froze. when I tried to see what happened it was showing that instead of my opponent i lost the game. This is the second time i am experiencing this.Because of this for no reason losing lot of elo.Requesting to looking to the issue.

it happened to me a few times, in fact sometimes worse things happened to me, think that when I used the nick gennarnino the anti-cheat system of the site automatically banned about ten nicks and assigned me all the points of the games. he told you because immediately after they froze my nick and made it impossible for me to reach enough games to participate in the tournaments (I asked to delete the nick because I considered it an abuse and instead a self-styled moderator insulted me by email and banned my email, you can verify by yourself, that nick no longer exists but you can't activate it).

don't pay attention to aggressive posts, your connection works and you're right, the site should verify.

The site did and hence the result.

Your opponent has made the move, server registered it. If you do not reconnect in time, the time will run out and you will lose. On your side, since you have disconnected from the site, you won't see a move your opponent made and just watch your opponent's time tick down, since you haven't received an update because you are no longer connected to the site.

Anyways, if the issue is persistent, try a CDN routing instead (it's slower than a direct route, but slower might be better than not at all): https://lichess.org/account/network

yes, it could also be the moment you start the game, the server loads the interface of the entire game on your device (I don't know if it works like this but the consent to the treatment includes the hypothesis) and at that point any malware could block your connection! a friend even told me about inverted chessboards and users but I think he was joking. in any case it would not be your connection but a software problem (produced and distributed by the site, even if it works in ram) and in my opinion it is correct to verify the causes of your timed out and prevent other malfunctions.
