Damn Lichess has changed

I must insist, Horsie is our mascot, not our "goddess". Lichess is not a cult :-)
@YeetBeast A lot has changed. Emojis have come out, a quarantine league for tournaments has been established by @jefforever, and lichess's official Antarctica team has nearly 200 members. However, trolling in the forums (especially with the spammers) is a problem that's gotten worse since COVID (because people have nothing constructive to do apparently). Toxic forum posters are effectively nonexistent now, however. Our major problem is the spammers.

We also figured out the fact that a lichess.com and a chess.org exists but lichess.org is the best. Also yes: horsey also came out while you were away.

I also tried to make a forum to reach 1 million pages (it got stopped at just over 1000 and then we all realized that it was spam). Someone tried to make a 1 million horseys forum (in fact, that happened like 5 times), but they all had the same fate. Same happened with the Say Something Silly :p forum made by @xxIstcentury

A forum poster named @tpr became well-known for his/her great chess advice.

Another person, who was considered a troll on chess.com @MrPushwood came here, but normally, he just makes funny posts here, not really trolling at all. But someone got tired of him on the forums and tried to make a forum post about him to make him stop. It didn't work out, but something hilsrious happened. Someone created an account called @MrsPushwood, but I think that was just to troll @MrPushwood. Anyways, MrsPushwood was closed withing 3-4 days of creation.

The worry about trolls is causing everybody to overreact, and false accusations have occurred, sometimes resulting in very controversial chatbans (eg. @TheLegendaryChess17 or @Paranoyak).

In fact, overreactions made Antarctica shut down once. The second time, it was a different leader trying to take over the team unfairly (it's happening more often than before, but it's not as bad as it was in July, where a different team of 800 members got destroyed by a "hacker").

Rating inflation hit a peak in April or May due to a sudden and huge influx of people on lichess due to COVID. Magnus hit a max rating of 3355 but he's at 3100 now as rating inflation died out.

Lichess has had a few small UI changes other than emojis, including on lichess TV.

Multiple suggestions, including removing emojis and removing puzzle ratings, came out, but to no avail. Lichess feedback has a LOT of suggestions.

The keyboard plugin is becoming increasingly controversial and some are even suggesting that KB ultra be a new variant but tbh, I think that ultrabullet and bullet themselves must be new variants. But I think @calbernandhowbe (another one of the chess gods) is against that.

Forum equality based on equal expertise has been discussed recently, as well as whether posting educational youtube channels (as made by @zaven_chessmood recently posted on the forum) is okay or not. I'm saying it's ok as long as you're an expert, but others say spam is spam. Again, overreaction.

@yeetbeast Things have changed a lot since you were away.
And there is also a new logo for Bullet and UltraBullet.
(I prefer the old ones!)
