India vs Pakistan

Would you boycott today's cricket match, or watch it? I'm interested to know your perspective.

Yes, I'm boycotting it, but only because I don't even know which sport you're talking about! :-)

Definitely. The whole ticket sales has dropped down, in such a way that tickets haven't been sold out even a week before the match.
Don't know what the BCCI is doing here. They hold the highest power in the whole Asian Cricket Council, and they could've very well chosen to boycott the whole thing, or the very least, threaten to boycott the tournament and pressure Pakistan to opt out of the tournament. But no. It seems that sponsorships and advertisements matter more to the BCCI than the Indian sentiment.

Take the example of the cold war between USA and Russia. In 1980, USA along with 60 other countries boycotted the Moscow Olympics. They set the agenda that the Soviet Union is "evil", because of their invasion of Afghanistan. They didn't care about the medals they would not get and the sponsorship deals they would lose out on. Similarly the Soviet Union boycotted the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, along with 14 others.

India and the BCCI are at a similar situation of power here. If it truly mattered to them, they would have boycotted a relatively small tournament like Asia Cup, and the viewership would be similar to that of a gully cricket tournament.

The country is still smarting from the Pahalgam attacks, BCCI.
